Activated carbon from coconut shells eliminates residual chlorine and unpleasant odors, and ion exchange resin softens water by removing calcium and magnesium ions. A KDF filter reduces the proliferation of heavy metals and microorganisms, and quartz sand minimizes the risk of intestinal and stomach diseases in animals. The water is also enriched with a mineralized bead, which gives it a pleasant, sweet taste. It is recommended to change the filter every month to ensure constant freshness of the water.

The Petoneer Fresco Mini Pro fountain uses built-in UV light with a wavelength of 270 nm, which eliminates up to 99% of bacteria, parasites and other pathogens in 60 minutes of operation every 4 hours.
